Ann weathers great. Enjoy Cornwall :-)

Bob, you may have just provided the answer. I don't think I had the radio on this last attempt but now think I may have done when I changed the time before.

I'll go and try it later. :-D :-D

Sorry Glasgow Lass I didn't intend to hijack your thread

Wendy, Did T help you before? I'll ask him if he knows. Still we'll be there in September so if it is right now you are ok until then and he can have a look. Feels really strange to be going to Cornwall instead of coming to you. But a plus is the garden is looking good.

I bet it is really hot and sunny there now.......*hands over eyes/ears* No I don't want to know. when do your visitors arrive?

Ann...it's on the right time at the moment, I will have another go when I have a day or two to spare! Looking forward to seeing you and my little helper.

Bob... Oh if only it was that easy, I have changed it once but six months later I can't remember how I did it. It's a Opal Astra Edition.

Glasgow Lass... I hope all goes well with the repair of your car and that it never happens again.

:-( :-( :-( :-(
They took my new Volvo XC90 and gave me a 2yr old, 3door Peugeot 107!!

My car cannot be fixed until Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest ( Bank Holiday Weekend)
They said they will deliver it to the house whilst we are in Denmark and uplift the tiny Peugeot at the same time

GGRRRRR

I wanted to change the clock in my car when the hour changed. This was via umpteen menus in Spanish on the screen in the car. Gave up, now it's an hour out for half the year.

On some of the smaller Scottish islands, unless you can get it going by cranking it up with an old fashioned starting handle - you could have problems :-(

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 2 May 2014 13:01

That is always my worry, that the computer system will fail as ours is also completely computerised. Nightmare thought.

Luckily, we are off to Copenhagen as of Wednesday, ( Eurovision) so we won't need the car for that week, although it has been booked into Airport Parking.

However, after that, without the car, we will be stuck!
We have lots of consecutive trips planned and that car is booked onto lots of different Ferries to Ireland and Scottish Islands
My goodness! What would we do if it broke down on Barra??

The joys of motoring Anne <3 hopefully they will sort the problem out quite quickly, on a lot of new cars they don't repair a faulty component these days, they replace it.

GlasgowLass

GlasgowLass Report 2 May 2014 12:24

Yes it's under warranty and has roadside assistance
Assistance got it started and out of the car park, but the onboard computer system has failed and the car has died!
It is being towed back to Lanarkshire now with my OH in the breakdown truck.
He will get a courtesy car meantime, but I don't expect it will be a 7 seat 4x4!

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 2 May 2014 12:10

I assume it is under warranty. Hope they can get to it soon.

Oh has a busy day today with a meeting in Edinburgh, then back to Glasgow for a works fun day out.
He took my new car because it's bigger, and as a non-drinker, he becomes the 7 seater taxi driver at the end of the night.

He has just called me from Auld Reekie and MY car has broken down in a multi storey car park.!
Breakdown assistance has arrived but their van is too tall for the car park height restriction.

I hope they can get my car fixed as it's only 4 months old!
:-(
