Dear All

Hello

On this day, Margaret Thatcher became Britain's first ever women Prime Minister.

Mrs Thatcher arrived at Downing Street to take over from Labour's
James Callaghan after the conservatives won an overall majority of 43 seats.

On 05 May 2005, Tony Blair secured a third time as Labour Prime Minister.

Whatever politics and views you hold, history was made on these two dates.

Take gentle care
Best wishes
Elizabeth,
xx
