Morning Sharron,

You can get as embarrassed as you like,

Wend and a few of us thought you would need a little break away which will do you the world of good.

You shared Fred with all the people on GR with the stories about the antics he got up to ,which I must admit kept me and a lot of others amused.

Please save the money for when you do want to get away and have a break.

Re The Housing Association they should let you keep the house especially as you looked after Fred all the years.

Fight them as Fred would expect you to do...

You may decide you want a few new pair of drawers,,,,,,fine, as long as they, fit and are becoming for a person of your age, ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D.

I expect it depends how big the house is, how much was spent adapting it for a disabled person etc and whether there is another disabled person badly in need of an adapted house. But as it has been your home for a long time I hope they take that into consideration.

As to the money, as nameless one says, you gave us Fred and all his adventures, life has not been easy for you, I know the normal thing is to give to charity in remembrance of the deceased person but we chose to give to you instead for all your caring. Truly what you do with the money is up to you. I suggest you wait until after the funeral and after you know the housing situation, then spend it on something that gives you pleasure :-)

Wadda ya mean ya not coming to the meet....I just had my friggin´hair done so I looked me best instead of that harrassed hag you last met on the Isle of Wight.

Seriously Sharron use the money for a break when you have everything settled and enjoy. ...Will be thinking of you Monday xx

Can I just say a big thankyou to Mummo who started all this off <3

Sharron - I hope you do as I suggested. Give some of the money collected to the Selsey Carer's Association, but keep some for yourself to have a bit of fun and relaxation when you're feeling less stressed.

I hope to come to Fred's funeral on Monday (if I can persuade my chauffeur, who has Mondays off and was looking forward to watching the cricket at the Sussex County Ground lol.)

I shall then hand you the GR lolly . . . . .

You had better drag him along to the bacon sandwich fest afterwards as well then.

Now I know how you all feel.

I have just suggested to Fred's mate that some of this unexpected windfall should be his.

He can argue better than I can!

wisechild Report 10 May 2014 16:47

Sharron.
Look on it as an unexpected windfall & do something totally frivilous with it when all the trauma is over & you have time to relax. ;-)

Fred's mate was such an enormous help, I really could not have done it without him.

He is a similar age to us and is our mate too, We have a history of adventuring together.

It will be back to the good old days if we have another one soon.

The first time he had ever stayed in B&B we were all put in the same room together with three little beds because that was the only room we could find.
