The cheque has arrived and it really is an embarrassment of riches.

Thank you all so very, very much and I still don't know what I did to deserve it

I hope you will soon find out about the house, with that hanging over you I am not surprised you feel in limbo.

I can understand you wanting to reward Fred's pal too so maybe you can all do something together (but not in the same room this time lol)

Thanks for sharing Fred with us all. Won't ever forget him but really think you should write a book which could be helpful to other people who care for loved ones who have strokes.

Lizx

Might even help this family as they prepare to get Maria home.

There will be no chilling for me until I find out if I can still live here. I feel like a refugee at the moment.

Meanwhile, today we have churned out, cherry chocolate brownies, jam buns, jam tarts, cheese and egg tarts, mock crab for sandwiches. There is boiled fruit soaking for fruit cakes and butterbeans for some vege things.

Got rid of a lot of that old tackle hanging about here!

Sharron, i hope all goes well at the funeral and will be thinking of you.

I hope like the rest that ,you and your Oh will be able to maybe stay in a B & B somewhere and chill for a few days. All the arrangements you have been making etc will have tired you out i'm sure.

So take a break and send us a postcard!

Take care

Fred's mate was such an enormous help, I really could not have done it without him.

He is a similar age to us and is our mate too, We have a history of adventuring together.

It will be back to the good old days if we have another one soon.

The first time he had ever stayed in B&B we were all put in the same room together with three little beds because that was the only room we could find.

Sharron.
Look on it as an unexpected windfall & do something totally frivilous with it when all the trauma is over & you have time to relax. ;-)

Sharron

Sharron Report 10 May 2014 16:22

Now I know how you all feel.

I have just suggested to Fred's mate that some of this unexpected windfall should be his.

He can argue better than I can!

Sharron

Sharron Report 9 May 2014 22:34

You had better drag him along to the bacon sandwich fest afterwards as well then.

Wend Report 9 May 2014 21:51

Can I just say a big thankyou to Mummo who started all this off <3

Sharron - I hope you do as I suggested. Give some of the money collected to the Selsey Carer's Association, but keep some for yourself to have a bit of fun and relaxation when you're feeling less stressed.

I hope to come to Fred's funeral on Monday (if I can persuade my chauffeur, who has Mondays off and was looking forward to watching the cricket at the Sussex County Ground lol.)

I shall then hand you the GR lolly . . . . .

Wadda ya mean ya not coming to the meet....I just had my friggin´hair done so I looked me best instead of that harrassed hag you last met on the Isle of Wight.

Seriously Sharron use the money for a break when you have everything settled and enjoy. ...Will be thinking of you Monday xx
