Lots in the news this morning about clothing & sheets which may contain a cancer-causing dye.

Who regulates this? They're NOT doing their job!!

More info here: https://www.recalls.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/952401

Interesting.

I bet there are products here that are as bad, not sure how our Government fares with recalling or even testing.

Liz ~ the crazy part is, the dye is banned in Europe, and has limited use in the US (don't know about other places).

The Australian government has NO excuse for not knowing this!

How far back does this go? Am I sleeping on sheets that may cause cancer?

I can't imagine how parents who bought these clothes for their children are feeling.

I avoid food that isn't grown/made in Australia........ nothing against foreign farmers, but some of their methods (chemicals and fertilisers in particular) are banned here.

I'm disgusted with the Australian government for allowing these items to be sold here.

Thanks for that Ron.

Scozz, I don't understand why there aren't world wide agencies who ban the same things across the nations.

It's like America banning aspartame and UK still letting it be used, very often in No added sugar products which are given to children.
