Although we have the same problem with Ash, Sycamore and Horse chestnuts (blame the squirrels for those) I'd hate for any more mature trees to be blighted.

LadyScozz....daft neighbour! It's going to cost both you and he a shed load if you need to have the fig tree felled! Virtually all mature trees around here, including 'common' ones have tree preservation orders aka TPOs on them. Anyone felling, killing, lopping them without permission get heavily fined.

There's an enormous fig tree right between us and a neighbour (there's a break in the fence where the tree is). The tree would be the height of a 4-storey building!

We thought the tree was looking a bit bare........... then it got worse....... the neighbour has poisoned it. :-(

I don't think he thought it through......... there is only one branch with leaves on it now..... and I hate to think of the damage it may cause when (not if) it falls.

I hope it falls in HIS direction.

just been doing some weeding - found dozens of baby ash trees - from a few trees along the railway line at the bottom of my garden - they are an absolute pest
