When you walk around the shops you can see all the stuff for sale on the shelves. So it's a lot easier to browse. When shopping online you have to know what you're looking for. So I think you're less likely to do impulse buying.

There are some things that you can't find in shops and for me that is where shopping on line comes in handy.
I've never used it for grocery shopping as like to pick my own,but I use E bay,Amazon etc if I'm looking for something specific.
I have just bought a professional digital piano...most expensive thing Ive ever bought on line, but it is what I wanted and I contacted the seller...had about 30 emails conversation with him before I bought and really very pleased with it.
I have bought hard to find books,DVDs ..including an Ealing comedy that my late husband was in when he was a schoolboy at school in Ealing....Hue and Cry.....
Would never buy shoes.
There is a place for this way of shopping, especially when you live in rural areas...or find it difficult to go shopping in a store.

I know you can't buy on Twitter.

I just put it in to keep e-Bay company. I don'tdo much apart from play Scrabble on Face Book either.

Do like to use the internet to see what Aldi and Lidl are going to have on offer and had a real coupe by looking at the Tesco site before we did the parish lunch to find everything we were going to need was reduced.

I like having a browse round the shops, however the only way I can do that these days due to mobility problems is on my scooter, my nearest town is just under 3 miles away and when the weather is dry and not to cold, I take a trip in to town once or twice a week and buy my groceries and various other bit's and pieces, that said when it is wet or wintry I do all my weekly shopping online, because it is not very pleasant on a mobility scooter in inclement weather :-(

I buy most large or bulky items on line, computer, furniture, domestic appliances, and I also buy most of my clothing online.

I have only had one really bad experience and that was when Do It All (Focus) went to the wall. I had just ordered a new bathroom suite a few weeks before it went bust - took me about 3 months before I was able to get my money back through my banks debit card purchase guarantee scheme.

If you are flexible with the time you want your groceries delivered - Tesco are now doing £1 delivery slots ;-)
