Has just fallen to pieces, well the handle fell off, my Mum gave it to me when I got married in 1978, it was hers but she bought a new for herself so I could have that one, it's not that old, it as a wedding present for when she got married in 1948, things just don't last very long do they! :-D |

I had an aluminium one, for years, the plastic handle broke up so I replaced that bit with wood cotton reels,,,,,,,eventually the stub broke off from the pan,( as I assume yours has done ) |

I have an old chip pan that I've had since we got married 45 years ago (don't like deep fat fryers). Last week I bought a new stainless steel one as the basket on my old pan is dropping to bits. |

I love my old Prestige stainless steel knives ....... I gradually bought, 1 at a time, a set from chef's down to vegetable knife between 1963 and 1967. |

Sylvia, I still have a Corning casserole dish altho I think the lid got broken many years back. I won it on bingo at a holiday resort I went to with my family, last family holiday at a quiet little place. It was the start of my Bottom Drawer lol You could fit a handle to the side of the dish to make it a saucepan, it was white with a blue pattern on it., it's very worn now tho. |

Have you met my father Bob? I sold a whole lot of his stuff to a second hand dealer including a frying pan where he had made a wooden handle.. it was a great pan cause the wood did not get hot like the aluminium handle did... most of our pot lids had wooden cotton reels. |

I don't have any pans, or pie plates etc .......................... emigrating immediately we married meant I didn't bring that kind of stuff with me, nor did I collect any when I went back for Dad's funeral. |
