I doubt the butler will throw it out
so I might tell him ive started to drink
and pour two bottles adown the drain
and pop the empty bottles in the recycle bins

it will take me 31 days approx. to get rid :-D :-D

A winemaker would be glad of all those empty bottles, especially at this time of year.

Personally, I'd try it. You'd soon know if it was 'off' :-S

Mentioned on another thread that a friend and I found a bottle of parsnip wine behind a boarded up fireplace - drank it - then went to a pub.
The only problem I ended up with was a bloke I picked up at the pub!
He looked like Bob Dylan, but there the resemblance ended :-\
Took me 6 weeks to dump him :-(

Gee Meg,
I've heard what 'beer goggles ' do - but 'parsnip specatles'?
Just as well you weren't seeing double or you might have ended up with two of them!

Reminds me of what happened when Hyacinth got the job lot of the Dowager Duchess's home made wine in that episode of Keeping Up Appearances when she went to an auction at a stately home :-D :-D :-D

Even if it's not drinkable you might find some of it useful in cooking - a dollop in stews, gravy, soup? And if it's heated enough it will dispel the alcohol! not sure of the exact chemistry, if it needs to be boiled might not do your cooking any good

and said its lovely :-D

GinN

GinN Report 20 May 2014 11:39

I should imagine it will be fine - screw tops keep things preserved pretty well. In fact, it's probably improved with age.
If your OH says it tastes lovely - enjoy! :-D :-D
