Cambridge Archives

I can't find anything about this on-line but there is somebody from Cambridge on my Facebook and she has posted that Cambridgeshire is in danger of losing it's archives because the place they are stored is damp and the council has no plans to replace it.

if that's true ,we shall be losing a lot of written records and data ,lets hope the council changes its mind .

If you google "Cambridge Archives back to square one" there are several different newspaper reports of this.

I hope the problem gets sorted out before all the archives are ruined.
