	Brian ........... you are quite right, GR did remove all the adds except their own a few weeks ago, after all the complaints. But as I had very few ads showing then as a result of using an ad blocker, and consequently had fewer problems than other members .................. I was unsure as to whether some ads had been replaced. So I thought I would mention it. After all, ads must form a significant revenue stream for GR :-)

	just like our local council...............got complaints that there was too much traffic for people to cross the road..........solution? install speed humps ,chicanes and traffic light controlled islands...............the traffic when busy now backs up onto the parkway........... Bob

	That's about right Andysmum ... we all know the speed of traffic slows down when the main route gets congested.... I suppose same thing applies for the computers Information Highway. :-)

	I use Chrome and at the moment it's working OK. The speed seems to depend on the time of day - everything slows down at midday, when the USA wakes up!

	Sylvia as far as I know GR uk.com dropped the ads a long time ago. Or maybe its because I`m using IE11, and I don't get any problems either. Sorry! I lie, posting a reply is sometimes a little slow in getting onto the board.

	I use Chrome without adverts but it's been slow for me for weeks

	I'm not having any problems. In fact it is working faster than for many a month. I use Mozilla Firefox, and have no ads

	But can this site get any slower? :-\| Trying to switch from one board to another, view a thread, post something, check out messages..........etc, etc. It has been going on for at least 4 weeks now. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! :-\| :-\| :-\|
