I am hoping so. It looks that way but I won't be sure until I have the tenancy agreement.

Oh I did want to go to the Sheffield meet but, as usual, what I want and what is within the realms of possibility for me to do are generally two very different things.

Spending money really does make me nervous so it is best I keep it as a fund I can borrow from.

That shed is going to be my own little dive where I am in charge and where I might even get all that research written up.

Good idea about the shed ,you could name it after Fred,
but what ever you do it's yours to do what ever you want just enjoy x :-)

Sharron it is yours to do with what you want - but it is nice to have a 'slush fund' hidden away.

Use it Sharron in any way you choose and if it's the shed you want to spend it on then go ahead.

Take care

Sounds a good idea Sharron, I hope it gives you some pleasure and a measure of security.

Sounds like a good solution.

Also know what you mean about the pension repayments. Having been told over the phone I didn't need to repay any of Mum's pension I got a request for payment ( some time later). At first I sent the letter back as Not Known because they made major mistakes on her name - then gave them an earful!!

Good idea Sharron, I know what you mean re Pension and Attendance Allowance.

They demanded 7 days of Dad's pension back when he died, yet with Mum they didn't ask for anything back...............we never did pay Dad's, I rang them and said it was insensitive to bill us within 8 days of his death and they sent a follow up letter saying they would not now be asking for it back. :-S

I thought I would tell you what I plan to do with the huge amount of money you wonderful people sent me and for which I am eternally grateful.

As you know. I don't go in much for fripperies and my income has really been slashed since Fred died, they want me to pay back pension and Attendance Allowance that was overpaid too!

Anyway, there is no hope of going anywhere while we have the elderly dependant cat so I have decided I will kind of ring- fence the money by putting it in a separate account so it doesn't go into the general maelstrom that is my finances at the moment.

I thought I would keep it as a separate little fund from which I can borrow when I want something I don't need and then pay it back so I can be indulgent again.

First I am toying with the idea of getting the shed finished, it needs a bit more lining and the power being connected.

By the time that has been paid back at a rate of about tuppence a week I can indulge myself again.
