Glad you got home ok Uzzi, even tho the flight wasn't the nicest.

Now watch what you are doing with that paint, don't want doggy footprints all over the place.

In the 70's my ginger cat came exploring when I was decorating a bedroom. He stood up to look at the paint tray and managed to catch it with his paw (it was balanced on a chair) Quick exit of one ginger and lilac cat and paw prints showing me his escape route! Didn't know where to start, wiping all the paint off the landing and stair carpet or bathing the cat! Thank heavens it was only emulsion!

Never a dull moment when my Toby was about, he lived up to his name!

Enjoy some time together with T. while he's off work. Paint needs time to dry lol

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 22 May 2014 15:19

When we went to visit our sister in Canada in 2001 it was a fully loaded flight
I was unlucky to be seated next to a LARGE lady who overlapped the seat and shoulder room so I was listed to the right over the aisle .Can honestly say was so uncomfortable to be pushed to one side. and squashed.
I was worried about DVT as have bad circulation in both legs .did wear support hose but had to take em off cos they got too tight and uncomfortable.

My first long hall flight wasnt good

BUT we were in Canada when 9/11 happened in our first week there . we were booked to come home 2 weeks later but the airports all closed down so we didnt know of we would get home and when

Our BIL worked at Canadian Airlines so we were on his concessionary tickets so even tho we had flights booked these were standby in case someone came along as a full paying passenger .we only paid the airport taxes

well we did get home and on the booked flight cos many Canadians cancelled outward flights so the passengers were returning UK people

Loads of room we even were rearranged by the inboard staff to balance the weight .

I had a five seat place to myself so could lie up and have a kip on the 12 plus hour flight . even so I did suffer jet lag that took a couple of days to get over it

Why on earth didn't the mother put the babe to her breast/bottle/dummy??? Isn't that the advice given to equalise the air pressure in their ears??? It's the swallowing/ sucking action that's supposed to help.

With all the problems, not a good flight for you. Still, you're home now.

lol Mary I am sure somebody blessed the child just who is debatable. I would have felt sorry for the mother as the only timed he did quieten a bit was if she walked the aisle with him and for most of the time the seat belt light was on, but my sympathy waned when I realised that she didn´t try to pacify with either dummy or bottle !

Ann I flew out of Alicante but back into Murcia with Ryan. I would love to blame French Air traffic but it was the head winds that sent us on a diversion cause. OH had done most of the room it´s just the furniture left to do.

Still home is home and I am glad to be back :-D

Now I have the smell of paint but even that is better than the perfume :-0 :-0 :-D

Glad you are home ok Uzzie, good job you were not flying to the Canaries a 4 hour+ flight. I hate strong perfume when flying. I would have had a hanky over my nose as it makes me feel ill.
Was that Ryan air? I thought you flew out from Alicante. French air traffic are a pain!

Quite a big paint job ahead then :-)

It was the worst flight that I have probably been on. I had a 12ish yr old sitting next to me who had obviously been through the duty free testers and was wearing the most cloying sick making perfume. It was one of those that you tasted with every breath. In the seat in front was a 5mth old who's lungs could have been used for the fog horn of Beachy Head. He screamed and I do mean screamed and not cried, from the minute the engines started in East Midlands until they switched off in Murcia. We had a diversion around France and circled Murcia for 15mins making our landing 30mins late. Believe me I have never been so glad to leave a plane.

I had a fantastic time thank you to the girls who made my sides ache through laughter, the weekend flew past.

It's now back to reality and painting the back bedroom. :-S :-S :-S
