During our recent trip, OH and myself visited the Te Anau glow-worm caves.

This involved a short trip on a small boat in the cave itself. Apart from the glow-worms it was pitch black.

Because of the size of the boat OH had to sit right at the back.

We were also told not to make any noise which would spoil the effect for the other parties in the cave.

When we returned to the surface OH remarked that she could imagine a monster grabbing her off the boat in silence and no one would have known.

I told her not to worry as we would have heard the screams of the monster as it realised who it had grabbed and hastily flung her back on the boat!

The swelling in my right eye did eventually clear up :-D :-D :-D
