Anyone else had the latest update and found it has altered the look of the 'page' especially across the top. It is not a real problem except I can't seem to get the tool bar that used to show what I had opened. i.e. google, genes, Facebook, amazon etc. I have to open them each time now. I wish they would not mess with things.

Is it me missing something or has anyone else got the same (I am on windows 7 if that makes a difference). :-S

Hi, Ann

I use Windows Vista and I get the tabs at the very top of my page (I think I've got the latest update)

The version of Windows should have no bearing on it.

Do you mean the history toolbar or favourites?

Sounds as though your Bookmarks Toolbar might be hidden.

Right click in the grey area at the very top and tick against it to make it reappear.

Thanks. they are now appearing at the very top, before they were under the history tool bar but the strange thing is, when I open Facebook, then go back to Genes, facebook doesn't now stay on the programmes that are open. I have favourites so not sure, am I talking about the main toolbar (menu toolbar?)

OK I have been out most of the morning. Just opened facebook and it is now showing as open in the tool bar. So all ok now. Thanks all.

you can set up the horrible new firefox to look almost exactly like your old one - it took a while to find the instructions but once I did, it was fairly easy to do

mine is now back to looking virtually as it did before (except I can't get the 'reload' button to stay where I put it)

maybe someone like Errol the sheep can give easier step by step instructions

I guess in particular you wanted tabs not on top (as I did, and I had been through this before with the last new firefox)

from that page (look there because it shows an illustration of the menu)

..................................................................

Restore tabs on bottom and other options

Open the Classic Theme Restorer settings panel.

Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.

Find the entry for Classic Theme Restorer and click the Options button next to it.
In the Classic Theme Restorer options window, you can choose Tabs not on top in the first (Main) tab.
