My late brother's wife was an utter snob. Yes they were worth £millions had a wonderful life (until he started drinking) appeared in very posh country life magazines BUT her Mother used to clean for my sister in law and one business meeting at the country pile she was still cleaning when the people arrived for the meeting.

My SIL stepped around her Mother and told the businessmen 'please the excuse the cleaner, she should have been finished by now'.

She was so rude to everyone she was even thrown out of one of the best Hotels in the world for being damn insulting to waiting staff.

Money doesn't equate to class...lololol

I didn't have to do a test to know that I am not a snob, never have been and never will be - my family were very poor, but my upbringing was good - I had to answer "no" to most of the questions in that quiz

I agree that we are who we are, but, it should not deter anyone from wanting to improve their lives.
There is more snobbery in the so called working classes than in the gentry.

It doesn't matter what labels a quizz or other people assign to us......for better or worse, we are who we are. :-D

They rode like madmen, screaming & swearing..... it was mayhem! I was amazed no-one was seriously injured or killed.

I was beginning to be worried, 2% posh me being the bottom of the barrel hereabouts by far ... but Shirley has hit rock bottom at 0% so I can show my face ... must have been that knowing how to ride a horse that saved me from total chavness ... chaviness ... ? I shall have to re-examine my choices in life now I think ...

hm, like my tall dude ... I watch/play no sports at all, but football is his sport of choice so I had to answer honestly that I watch it (or at least I am in the same room as it) ... so plainly he dragged me into the gutter I think

"Dinks" or "Dinky" have been around for some time. It came out of the "Yuppie" era.

Before my daughter was married but was working in London and living there with her boy friend she said they were known as DINKS !!! Double income no kids!

I am 69% posh.

I did the test for my ex husband who is definitely 'posh', ex public school and from a' County' family, and he got 19%.

Would love to be able tell him as he always said he had dragged me out of the gutter :-D :-D

When my children were small I worked part time in a newsagents. We had a Mrs Lemon, pronounced Leemon and a Mrs Riddle pronounced Riddell. I have a double barrelled surname but only ever use the second part of it.

It's derogatory and means low class young person. They usually wear designer clothes or tracksuits.

Interestingly, some think the word is also derived from Romany gypsies (lol I'm not making this up) and it has actually been around since the 19th century.

My result ~ 66% posh............it said: Decent... Yes I think you could be known as not a chav. Definitely not posh, though. Maybe learnig how to ride a horse will help.

A bit daft, because I ticked the yes box for "can you ride a horse"......... but I stopped when I was about 11 because my ALLERGY TO HORSES :-D got worse!
