WALES V SOUTH AFRICA

FIRST TEST MATCH... THIS SATURDAY 14th JUNE 2014.. KICK OFF 5.05pm (UK)

Warren Gatland will be announcing his team to face South Africa's Springboks tomorrow.

WATCH THIS SPACE :-)

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 12 Jun 2014 11:14

Good Morning to any Wales or Springboks Fans looking in this morning :-) :-)

Good morning to other Rugby Fans who are simply looking forward to a CRACKING GAME OF RUGBY :-) :-)

THE TEAM:
The Wales Team for Saturday's 1st Test Match against South Africa is going to be announced today..... so watch this space!

Wales have every reason for confidence in themselves for Saturday's game, following their 5 Try victory in the "Warm-up" game v the Eastern Province Kings in Port Elizabeth last Tuesday, finishing with a 34-12 win.

Head Coach Warren Gatland said "I'm absolutely delighted with that result"

GEORGE NORTH:
22 year old Northampton player George North was withdrawn from the Match-Day Squad in Port Elizabeth as he was suffering from a "mild virus".

George had to travel separately from the rest of the Wales Squad.

I hope that he is fully fit for the match on Saturday.

MATTHEW MORGAN:
Matthew Morgan (one of the two players singled out for commendation by Warren Gatland when he announced the Squad for the South Africa Tour) has been reported to say that, even if he doesn't make Saturday's Match-day Squad, he has "already fulfilled a lifelong ambition".

The new Bristol signed player was chosen for the Wales Squad, following his performance as a half-time replacement for "The Possibles" Team, in the National Selection Trial match. He proved to be one of the "Brightest Sparks" in the game v Eastern Kings last Tuesday. This was despite playing Full Back rather than his club playing position of Fly Half (10)

Matthew is one of the excellent young players coming up through the ranks from the Wales Under 20s Squad.

Matthew has played Fly Half for Bridgend Ravens and the Ospreys. He has previously played for Bridgend Athletic RFC and Swansea RFC. (Wikipedia)

SPRINGBOKS TEAM:
The South Africa "Springboks" side to face Wales on Saturday has already been chosen-

South Africa:
Willie le Roux, Cornal Hendricks, JP Pietersen, Jan Serfontein, Bryan Habana, Morné Steyn, Fourie du Preez; Gurthrö Steenkamp, Bismarck du Plessis, Jannie du Plessis, Bakkies Botha, Victor Matfield (captain), Francois Louw, Willem Alberts, Duane Vermeulen.

Replacements:
Schalk Brits, Tendai Mtawarira, Coenie Oosthuizen, Lood de Jager, Schalk Burger, Ruan Pienaar, Johan Goosen Lwazi Mvovo
