It does sometimes seem that everything comes at once but somehow we also seem to survive most things that life throws at us. I hope this time soon passes for you Chris and you are feeling happy again x

I met up with a school friend I had not seen for forty years.

We were each saying how we didn't like conventional medicine and avoided doctors at all costs, in fact she was an alternative therapy practitioner.

We were both dealing with the menopause without therapies but she said she was taking red clover for hot flushes.

As it turned out, I was suffering from something that might have killed me and she had breast cancer.

Red clover stimulates the production of or imitates oestrogen (I can't remember which) and is one of the worst things you can take if you have breast cancer.

She would not use conventional treatment and died of her illness but her dad says that she would not have been able to cope with things any other way so who am I to argue?

Thank you all for your kindness especially when we all have worries of some sort or another. Yes, unfortunately my Christmas card list gets shorter each passing year. I think what got to me today was the news that B had died 48 hours before he was found.

Take care everyone. <3 <3

Old friend of some sixty years (not her age) 18 mths ago discovered she was suffering from an internal cancer, had op., told very successful. Six months ago told her there was still some cancer there. She told them same as when she had cancer first - no chemo, no radiation. She has seen a daughter fight breast cancer four times. For about 4 months now she has been having natural treatment. She will be 80 this year. I have to respect her wishes as she would mine.
Cannot visit we are about 400 miles apart.

Another friend of some 30 years has cancer, will not see anyone, speak to anyone other than his wife and close family.

Two weeks ago had a call from god daughter who had found her dad at the bottom of the stairs. I had had a long chat with him 2 weeks prior. This morning got a call about funeral etc. and the news that he was thought to have been there 48 hours before he was found. He had told me that he was having trouble walking and had clots.
