I can see lots of silver linings (it's rather cloudy here ;-) )

The sun just breaking through in a patch of bright blue sky. Loads of bees busy on the jasmines. A huge plant of campanula full of the most wonderful blue flowers. The bird feeders full of all our residents feeding their youngsters. Out the front a large green with grass full of Daisies. It sure makes you feel good to be alive. :-D :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 31 May 2014 10:16

Out the front our purple beech tree as approved by the TP officer, a lilac bush and self seeded mulberry-type tree. All have shot up after this last winters rain and are in danger of taking over!
At the back is the shed, decrepit brick BBQ, planted up pots ready to move onto the flower beds once the daff leaves have died down, overhanging trees from the people at the back, numerous shrubs which need a trim, and through the trees the twisted Elizabethan chimney on the original Kentish flint built farmhouse. It was that view which influenced our purchase some 30 years ago :-)

Looking out of my front window, I can see my garden with it's newly planted geraniums, pots of fuchsias and some shrubs. Behind them, I can see a farm paddock, with grazing sheep and a horse or two. Surrounding it is our village, with its willow trees, which fringe the, just out of sight, duck pond, plus the 13th century village church.

It's idyllic. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Sky. I love a big sky. :-D

I am in the loft and can't see ground level nearby.
An almost cloudless blue sky sports just one tiny fluffy wisp of white. An array of treetops in varying shades of green and copper bronze leads the eye to the hills, where a few sheep are grazing. Further along the brow, the tower of an ancient village church shows above the trees.
Very tranquil.

The sun's coming up and the birds and squirrels are coming for breakfast on the feeders. The horses and ponies in the fields at the back are doing what they do best - grazing.

The spring flowers are dying and the summer flowers are opening up, the trees are green and lush from the recent rain.

I'm in the study, at the front of the house......

I can see tree ferns and lawn..... it's raining, so the tree ferns are dripping water.

I was in the kitchen earlier (at the back of the house)....... looking over lots of trees to the Pacific Ocean, which is grey today, because of the rain.

:-D

Looking out my front window I can see a large For Sale sign in the front garden of the only obnoxious neighbours in our street :-D. A truly beautiful sight :-D

From the downstairs front window, a magnificent vista of half-completed units (sixteen in all) complete with skip, sundry machines and, of course, right opposite our house, the site toilet.

From the upstairs, however, totally different if we ignore the building mess. We can see over to the Leschenault Inlet and watch the small dinghies out crabbing. Beyond that is the Indian ocean, although we can't see it.

At the back is our garden. We ignore the monstrosity of the large house immediately to our rear, although we can't ignore the conversations they have as their house seems to have built in amplifiers :-| :-|

Andysmum, the garden doesn't matter if it's untidy, if you have views of a mountain :-D

Nolls Bet you spoil Henry, no wonder he don't want to go home :-D

I have friends who share there cats with neighbours, not there intention, but the cats think they live in two homes, and in the neighbours house they are allowed on the beds, no wonder they like it there :-D

Well I am sitting facing the window the blinds are slightly open and the cat from up the road "Our Henry" who wants us to adopt him, is sitting facing in looking longingly at home comforts (he never goes home unless they come for him after I complained) ...a lovely cat but a blooming pest. :-S

From the front, straight down the Firth of Clyde to the mountains of Arran, glowing as the sun goes down. (It has been a lovely day today, for a change).

From the sides, across the neighbours' gardens to more beautiful scenery and from the back, my own somewhat untidy garden.

My shed which is a little nearer to being usable a study (well, shed I can read in).

Bolted on to the shed is one of those arches that were in Lidl last year. There are baskets hanging from it with strawberries and tomatoes in them.

A bit closer is the chaotic bed with the flowers and vegetables thrown in together with a bit of fruit.

Behind the shed are the straight lines. I don't look down there much.

Right now......

From the lounge window....Lush green grass across from our garden, with massive weeping willow tree and green bushes and tree's...and one rabbit in the middle of the grass. Tomorrow morning the grass will have anything from 1 to 15 mallard ducks including ducklings, various birds, and up to 4 squirrels and possibly the rabbit. To the left just in view now is the river and the boating club. From our bedroom window which faces in the same direction we have bird feeders where alsorts of birds feed with their young and of course the squirrels, 2 of which are youngsters....ohh and the rats, mice and a water vole. The only annoying things are the seagulls making abit of noise and making a right mess of our windows, walls and the poor cars!!
From the back garden we can see the woods, loads of plum tree's and other tree's and plants including Japanese knot weed...loads of it!!!!...and alot of wild life...
Its our little piece of heaven and we are very lucky :-) :-)...
The other 2 side are our neighbours:-)
