What a wonderful story, Sharron! Sounds like he never grew out of it. Don't think I've spoken to you before but just wanted to say how I enjoyed the stories of Fred's antics and how I respected the way you handled everything, allowing Fred his freedom. It must have been hard for you but I think you did an admirable job.

Hi Sharron
I do miss reading about Freds antics so thank you for making me smile when reading about one of his early ones. I can only imagine how frightened Nan was when she thought one of them had fallen from the window. Hope you are well. xx :-D

Since there will be no new Fred antics to tell you about I thought you might like to hear of one of his very early ones.

Fred was one year, one month and one week older than his brother Bill. As boys they were usually together and usually fighting. Fred had a scar on his bum where Bill threw a screwdriver at him!

The cottage they, and I, grew up in had upstairs windows that were directly above the downstairs windows and Nan would wash up in a bowl on the table a little to the right of the kitchen window.

One day when her little cherubs were playing upstairs she heard a scream and saw something that looked like one of them falling from the upstairs window.

Of course the little varmints had put shirt, jacket and trousers together and dropped them from the window because they thought it was funny.

Isn't it usual to grow out of it though?!
