Whatever he was doing didn't warrant having his name all over the news.

He was doing it in private to is own bicycle.

If that was the worst I had done when I was drunk I would not be too ashamed!

He was all geared up, probably with a safety helmet, just getting ready to spin his wheels then kerrump! He fell off his trusty Raleigh (other models are available).

The poor bloke wasn't abusing anyone for goodness sake!

I would say something iffy if somebody burst in on me when I was doing something I had taken all possible precautions to keep private!

There is a story on the BBC site about a man in Scotland who was put on probation for simulating sex with his bicycle.

He lived in a hostel and had the bicycle in his bedroom which was locked when the cleaners wanted to get in. They knocked twice and were unable to gain entry so went to get a master key which enabled them to do so.

It was then that they saw this gentleman about his bizarre act of pleasure.

He was in his own locked room, alone with his bicycle and had taken all precautions to avoid being disturbed. It took extraordinary measures to reach him.

Whose peace was he disturbing?

I don't suppose he would have taken long about his pursuits. They could have come back a little later. I t was not as if he was flaunting his private desires, in fact he was being very discreet.
