Mrs Mayfield brought back some school shirts from one of my Daughters that had got "water based" pen on them unfortunatly they have been through a wash and tumble dry so chances are the stain has set.

She is normally a whizz at stains but getting nowhere with these any suggestions would be very welcome please :-D

I don't know about a washed stain, but we used to use milk at school with freshly spilt ink. :-D :-D

You beat me to it Annina. I use milk for a variety of stains, sometimes add a little dash of washing up liquid & rub until stain is gone.

Thank you for the suggestions, we have tried the milk, fairy, meth ,dygon, stain devil, hand cleaner, and the usual household stain removers and bleach, without any luck its the fact that its been in a hotwash I think that has set it.

Now now ERRolSheep!

Anyway don't you have a raddle around your neck to mark the ewes, do you have any suggestions for removing the marks so you can get a second go? ;-)

Next time soak them in cold water before washing and the stains should come out.

Same treatment for PVA glue.

Sadly the stains are permanent having been through a hot wash.
:-( :-( :-(

I'd give Fairy another go, scratching it into the stain and leaving overnight.
Next day rub stains again to loosen them.

You will need to rinse it out completely (I'd put them through the 'rinse only' cycle on my machine as an extra one) before putting them through a wash with stain remover eg. Vanish.

Soak it in real ** lemon juice or rub with half a lemon** and hang in the sun for an hour or so or leave over night then a good hot wash.......be careful of too many products on the same area or it will destroy the material......
