They're migrating north.....

In the last few weeks many people have told me they've seen whales, including a few young surfers who left the ocean & stood on the sand watching the beautiful creatures leaping.

I've just been on the back deck, with my 2nd cup of coffee ......... and saw three! One was way out on the horizon & made a HUGE splash.

It's a bit nippy out there, wind blowing... I'll put some warmer clothes on and get my telescope.

:-D

If I head to the coast, I can see Wales. I can't say as I've ever seen any beautiful creatures there mind you. ;-)

We get quite a lot of whales (mostly Minke Whales) off the west coast of Scotland. We also get lots of dolphins, and Basking Sharks. They are HUGE, and quite harmless.

Oh does that mean that England will now not start listing Westwards...... :-S

The whales have spent summer in the Antarctic.

I'm on the east coast of Australia (just north of the most easterly spot).

We're half-way up a hill, and have a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. It's cool today, raining & windy, so I'm not going to stand outside on the deck......... I can see a bit from the kitchen window.

:-)

I too live on a hill and if I look out my bedroom window, down the hill, I can see
Belmarsh Prison, not quite as exotic as LadyScozz's view.

And also magnificents views across to Essex and the hills in the distance.

My favourite mornings are when I get up and we go out into a fog. (4.30am!)

As we live by the river, the fog can be seen rolling along the road, and in places it is just a fine mist and in others you can barely see a few feet in front of the car. But it is so atmospheric. Very Victorian.

brrrrrrrr :-( Shivering just thinking about you going out at 4.30am in the fog :-( :-(

I'm shivering anyway. We turned the heat on tonight..... half an hour later it went off, because the gas bottle is empty!

waaaaaaaaah... I shouldn't complain too much, we've had the same bottle for (not sure..) about three years.

Our regular gas supplier has retired, will have to to find out who the new man is.
