A computer has managed to convince a group of people that it is a real person. :-0

Is this something we should be worried about? Or should we embrace it?

Who remembers when we were told that computers would lead to a paperless society?

Well I know I produce more paperwork now, through my Family History research, than I have ever done in the past.

And I know when I worked in an office, we also produced tons of paper, from the need for hard copies of important documents, to letters to post etc.

I used to work in a warehouse where they print out everything on the computers in case the computers crash. There are several shelves of racking in the warehouse full of computer printouts. :-S

Lets be honest, I cannot find a lot of stuff on my computer as I can not remember what name I gave it, and short of going through every document...... And that is after a good clear out of loads of documents I saved after doing a big project for a cousin who is doing a one name study, for some reason I kept everything, now all whooshed away so thats a lot less to worry about.....

Hard copies in folders are just so much easier to find.

Paperless society :-S

I wish I'd printed all those documents I got from Scotland's People.

They just disappeared from my file on the computer!

They're still available on my SP account, but it's so awkward going through previous searches.

:-(

Automation means more product with less work.

We have achieved technological genius of making everything we need or want without working so hard any more.

The big difficulty is figuring out a way of maintaining employment.

Aaaah! The good old 'Turing test', and the computer convinced several people it was a 15 year old boy.

Another site claims that Justin Beiber failed!
