Well you told me to go and spoil myself so I tried. I even ventured into Satan's own territory which, I am sure you know, I consider to be almost anywhere within the M25.

We went to Barnes where there is a brilliant little craft/haberdashery shop and there I indulged myself to the tune of £20

A patchwork template so I can turn Fred's bedding and pyjamas into a bedspread or something like that, a reel of cotton, a pair of knitting needles and some cotton with which to knit dishcloths.

We came back through Windsor Great Park and were looking forward to visiting the café by the gate which has always had an good and imaginative selection of dishes, including some well considered vegetarian ones.

Unfortunately the National Trust is now running it themselves and, while there is a lot of cake available, the selection of dishes is very limited.

Oh well, I have the dishcloth knitting to look forward to. .

I have nearly finished the lavender pillow I have been working on for several weeks and I have made several lavender pincushions with his sheets and a fitted sheet that had been mouldering in the bottom of my wardrobe for some years.

you might know I would do something that was cheap.

Oh gosh, your mention of patchwork has made me wish I could retire.
I've got soooo much material hanging about..........

Sharon, if you're short of material, let me know......

I am always happy to have some more Maggie.

I have one that I have been doing for forty odd years but it has not been added to in many years. It has a lot of my life in it and I am hoping to get it finished now I finally have a bit of a life.

Brilliant Idea to make a patchwork quilt from Freds bedding. My daughter has two made from her childrens old cot covers and they are lovely.
