I once asked that question on Thursday the twelfth of January. On the thirteenth I was in hospital with a fractured skull having fallen on ice when I was in school. Yes, all right, it was a very long time ago and I'm not at all suspicious. It was just a coincidence, wasn't it?

Had not noticed until someone mentioned it on the radio.

You always know which month will have a Friday the 13th in. It has to start on Sunday 1st. (Something I only discovered a couple of years ago!!) :-S

well hadnt given it a thought till now. Earlier I was keeping an eye on the time to take our cat to the vet for her daily visit to have her meds given . The vet closes at 10am but its near the station so parking is very restricted to stop commuters parking all day outside local residents houses
Opposite the vet there are parking bays but restricted to a half hour parking . I have sussed this all out so go up to the vet at 9.50 plus park in the half hour parking then move my car to a local street where its OK after10am

was keeping and eye on the clock, not wanting the cat to be in her basket for too long when suddenly realised 9.40 didnt seem to be moving .

B clock had stopped and it was 9.48 .panic get the cat in her basket ,get the car out of the garage and secure the garage and drive to the vets. Made it at 9.59 to offload her and then drive around to park in the after 10am parking road .

To say I was flustered would be an understatement

All wrong for me :-(

Went for a hearing test as OH claimed the TV was too loud, I was shouting rather than talking and saying 'pardon' rather a lot. Absolute rubbish off course :-D

Hearing aids needed for both ears.

OH will be smirking in that 'I told you so' way for the foreseeable future :-|

I hate this getting old business

A Friday 13th Funny Story

Roger left for work on Friday 13th morning. Friday was payday, so instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and spending his entire pay packet.
Finally, Roger appeared at home on Sunday night, and obviously he was confronted by his angry wife, Martha who castigated Roger for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions. Finally, Martha stopped the nagging and said to Roger, 'How would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?'
Roger replied grimly, 'That would be fine with me.'
Monday went by and he didn't see his Martha. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results.
On Thursday, the swelling went down just enough so that Roger could see Martha a little out of the corner of his left eye.

In any given year there is a least one friday the 13th; but no more than three.

Good Friday falls on the 13th April on average once every 29 years.

Triskaidekaphobia is the fear of the number 13.

Paraskevidekatriaphobia is the fear of friday the 13th.

Anyone fancy burning a witch this evening?

That would finish off the day with a flourish. Only the witch would disagree.
