Hi all, does anyone have a Nokia Lumia 630 mobile phone and if so how easy is it to use and is it any good for an oldie like me. lol. I want it to make calls, message, use facebook and internet and take photos. Any advice please.

Cannot help

BUT why do phones no longer come with an instruction book like they used to.

If you can use a tablet 'computer' then you can use a smart phone.

Tablet is basically the same as a phone but no phone call facility.

I have an HTC Wildfire, which I was told by a friend is a good starter phone for similar needs. Have seen the Lumia on telly this morning and am thinking of changing, looks good.

Do you not have any youngsters around to help. (I know I wish I did!)

I think they save on paper, because many have the manual online if you goto the phone website......

my phone is so old the manual is carved onto two stone tablets.......don't half weigh yer ipockets down

If you drive Jax a mobile phone for a woman is a must these days.

I rarely even switch mine on, but when out and about alone I would hate it if anything happened to the car and I had to try to find a phone in an emergency.

Have been thankful for my phone over the last 12 years or so in such instances.

When I worked for RM, I was often visiting delivery offices in some very dodgy areas in the dark, not a time when you want to be walking the streets looking for not only a telephone box, but one that works in London.

DC's reference to having one in the car - I am deaf so only have a very simple mobile for just such a reason - It should be known that the AA has a special text number, which I've used more than once, great comfort for the deaf. I believe the RAC also has one, don't know about other rescue services.
