I watched this morning and again this evening. I never miss a year. Queen was tapping her foot in time to the music. Diffficult to see who is who under those busbys but have to assume PP rode there but returned in the carriage.

Seeing this spectacle makes me proud of my country, my heritage and of all those past and present who have been a credit to their sovereign and country.

All the Queen's horses and all the Queen's men. :-D :-D

My very first love who swore he would marry me and dumped me for Sandra the next day .............we were only 5 at the time but I am still getting over it *sniffs*

Where was I..........oh yes, he was in the HouseHold Cavalry.

It is a wonderful sight and always makes me really proud of our servicemen and women.

I loved it, and always enjoy the 'wiggly lines ' lol I am glad it wasn't such a hot day as earlier this week, so no one passed out and it was comfortable weather for the Queen and Philip. I bet she is glad she isn't on horseback now, and she and Philip can use the carriages.

I really enjoy watching the balcony scenes at the Flypast, as Harry always manages to get people laughing, so nice to see them all enjoying themselves, even Prince Philip seems to be mellowing in his old age. That uniform he was wearing must be so uncomfy.

I just watched it on YouTube.

I enjoy a good parade :-D

Loved the "cartwheel" manouver........ if that's the right name for it.

How heavy is a bearskin hat? I hope they had a light weight one for Prince Philip... he is 94(ish).

;-)

Kitty....if you were both only 5, how come he was in the Household Cavalry?? which ever you are definately better off without him :-P :-P :-P :-P

Vic thought that Phillips bearskin hat was crooked, not surprised as they are darn heavy!!

ChrisofWessex.....l think your right, l did'nt see him in the carriage on arrival, but he was there on way out, nice to see them chatting :-)

Liz...Yeh Harry is always laughing and joking, he's great, so is William. Kate looked lovely as always.

Love the fly past, l grew up at the bottom of an airadrome, planes always flying over, brilliant :-) :-)

Someone mentioned the queen in her carriage this year. I think she has been using the carriage for some time now for this. In face I cannot remember the last time I saw her on horseback for the Trooping of the Colour.

I looked at them on the return journey - 94 and 88 years. They are a joy to behold.

I am pretty sure Philip was in the carriage on the way in - both he and the Queen moved to the dais to begin with, then the Queen got back in the carriage to inspect the troops. I wonder if she still rides privately as she always loved to. I know Philip was into his riding with carriages but don't think he's done it lately, but he shows up as a judge at the competitions, I believe.

Just found this, good on her!
