It´s Fathers Day tomorrow

It´s not often that dad day falls between our birthdays. This year is one. My dad and myself always celebrated the 15th June together. I remember the year that I was going for my second IVF and dad took me for a picnic at the side of the canal in Hanwell, He brought crystal glasses, decent champers, oysters and everything posh, he had also taken the day off work :-)
Bless my dad it was also the day he offered me the money to go private with IVF and the day I refused him what he wanted. It was a day we laughed, we cried and we knew that it was a turning point in our understanding of each other.
A lot of things have flowed under and over the bridge but that day stands out.

My Dad is no longer with me and I miss him, so today the 14th I wish him Happy Birthday and the 15th Happy Our Day and Happy Dad day
love you and miss you xx

Margee yes my dad was lovely and I have many memories, He wasn´t perfect when alive and he sure ain´t perfect now- But he is my Dad and that is what counts
