Sally

Sally Report 16 Jun 2014 22:29

hello my oh was adopted he was given hisbirth cert by his adopted father which had his birth mothers full name on I think this is law that it shows

so please apply for it be cause that is the way we found his birth family on here by putting in her name on serch trees

may be we were just lucky but is certainly worth a try

when you can take out a sub on here put your self ona tree with your birth name your birth mum and dads that helps as well as I have been on here a few years and still get some matches from his birth family and found serveral generations back

and yes you will have the same ways as your adoppted family b simply because you copy them and medical problems can happen to any one

I whish you the very best in finding her

Graham,,,,,,,,even an open adoption has a court process to go though and with that legal papers have to be drawn up to make your adoption legal..

Your adoptive name wont appear in the births, only your birth registraion name,,,,,,,the only adoptive names to appear in the indexes are ,,,,,,,marriage and death,

You dont need any parents details,it will all be in your file,,,,,,,

edit------Graham I have sent a message, see above and click the envelope,,,,,,

KAY???:

as i have said... i have called a myriad of adoption services and each one tells me i dont exist... i have my adoption certificate from Portsmouth (where i was born) i also have my origional birth certificate because it shows my birth name... i alo have ANOTHER copy of my adoption certificate given to me by my adoptive parents... and when i say genetics i MEAN genectis... same eyesight as my *adoptive* mother... same *baubacious sistr on my head as my *adopive mother* and adoptive aunty... same bald pace as my adoptive uncles (which is odd because my adoptive father is no where near bald)

should i list the 101 and one other genetic similarities?

EDIT: ok, i know i have my adpotion certificate from Portsmouth, which would be odd if they don't know anything about me.... but when i called them for my certificate about 3 years ago, they said that was *all the information we can give you*

Graham Report 16 Jun 2014 21:48

ok i dont know if im doing anything wrong, but i have done both serches... my birth name... which shows my birth certifictae number, and the mother's maiden name linked to that... i have also tried my adoptive surname, which comes up with absolutely nothing... nothing at all about me shows in the news papers ()not surprising to be honest)

I can't search for my mother *Jocelyn* or my father *Eddie* because although i have my fathers last name, i dont know his date of birth or where he was born... and the same with my mother

So there is that brick wall again!!! i will try tomorrow when i have more time and a level head

(here we go again ) :-\ :-(

Graham,

Unless you have applied for your adoption file which you have a legal right to,,,,, where full details will be given about your adoption,,,,a birth certificate wont tell you what you want to know, your file will.

Your original birth certificate will be different from the issued one after your adoption which shows your adoptive parents names.

You say *genetics *maybe you mean certain ways and mannerisms are bound to appear familiar to that of your adoptive parents its what happens ,even being brought up with natural parents.

Do you know where to apply for the file.?

Graham Report 16 Jun 2014 21:33

the problem is, im a free trial... i don't have the money to pay just to find out a persons name... i did this a few years agao as well... joind GR as a free custiomer, got the name... hit brick wall after brrick wall... here i am again, this time posting on the boards for as much help as i can get

i have called the local adoption services, and trhey say they never heard of me... so i have deen round in a loop of 4-5 services, each one saying they never heard of me... but there it is in black and white... my birth certificate is on this site... i also have my birth certificate here at home, AND my adoptive one...

Even with the above info im an enigma... and my adoption was an *open adoption (apparently) so my information SHOULD be there damn it!

Hi there Graham, welcome to the boards :-)

Top right hand corner of this page is "Search" - click on that and follow the instructions - you can then see if there are any connections to your birth family on this site - you then have the option of contacting them through this site by message

Best of luck to you

Graham Report 16 Jun 2014 21:25

hi there, im not going to give too much info out here for security reasons:

I was Born Graham Lee ****, in 1981 in portsmouth.

I was adopted, also as Graham Lee; but my last name changed to &&&& round about 1983 in aldershot? (hampshire or surrey)

I have very similar genetics to my adoptive family... too similar to be coincidence???

I have a form of autism

i have brothers and sisters out there (apparently) who were adopted to other families... My real mother's maiden name is Jocelyn and my real father's name is Eddie.

I am looking for ANY information i can find on my birth (considering my origional birth certificate has been *amended*) and also the truth about my adoption... 1. because i would like to know the truth... 2. *most importantly* because my son has a heart defect and my daughter has certain allergies.

I have looked everywhere i can, but keep hitting brick walls for the past 3 years

PLEASE HELP
