I've changed browsers since getting my computers. Most computers come with Internet Explorer as standard. But why settle for bog-standard? :-)

I never added one either Jax :-S and mine is in English as well. :-D

BUT, If I remember rightly I set the time when first using new tower I`m pretty sure you could set the language too at the same time. I may have done it then when doing the time zone
or it may have been when I updated to IE 11.

Thank you IGP.

Won't have to click "add to dictionary now".

I have never added any spell check to my laptop, it suddenly appeared one day.

It is in English though

Thanks IGP :-)

Now I can type 'colour' with all the letters included and I don't get a red squiggly line under the correct spelling :-D

Spell checking is done inside your browser so you need to install a British Dictionary.

This is the version I have in my Firefox browser

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/british-english-dictionary/

I don't normally use IE but if you Google

'spell checker for internet explorer X'

where X is the version you use, i.e. 8,9, 10 etc you will find a suitable add-on for IE.

I was wondering about that as well, when on GR it always seems to use American spelling :-S

My computer is a Compaq CQ1110UK running Windows 7 Home Edition and I am using Mozilla Firefox as my browser.

What computer and operating system are you using?

Graham

Graham Report 19 Jun 2014 12:16

Is there a way to change the spellcheck on GR to English? It seems to want me to spell everything in American. :-(
