I RECON THIS SORE ON MY LEG WHICH IS THE MOST PAINFUL THING I HAVE EVER FELT,AND IS GETTING BIGGER IS ALSO GIVING ME TURRETS,
HAD THE DRESSING CHANGED AGAIN AND I HAVEN'T STOPPED SWEARING YET,
NEARLY THREE HOURS OF PAIN AND NOT ORDINARY PAIN AND I JUST CANT STOP SWEARING,
DECIDED GOING TO ASK GP FOR A HOSPITAL REFERAL,OR A SWEAR BOX

DIZZI,Have you tried "Betadine" its pretty good for cuts, etc.you can get it from most chemists.

smother it in honey dizzi,its a natural antibiotic,friend had a friend with leg troble and was in navyblue cloud pain,could hear her swearing on the moon,told her to put honey on it within 2 days was totally different,
give it a try,

HAD THE HONEY TREATMENT ,TROUBLE IS TWO NURSES DO DIFFERENT
TYPES,STARTED AS A SMALL SORE THUMBNAIL SIZE NOW THE LEFT SIDE
OF MY CALF IS FROM KNEE DOWN AND ABOUT 3 INCHES WIDE AND SMALLER BITS ROUND LEG,BEEN ONGOING NOW FOR 9 MONTHS ,I GIVE UP AND
AM ASKING GP FOR A REFFERAL,DRESSING WAS CHANGED AT 9;45 THIS MORNING AND IS STILL AGONY. :-(

Swore when I dropped something heavy on my foot today - then I repeated it and said that ones for Dizzi ! :-D

Seriously though, I think you ought to get your bad leg looked at pronto, seems to be an awful long time that you have had to suffer all that pain :-(

Hello dizzy.
OH had the same problem or sounds like it. It turned out that on both occasions his leg was at its worse he had an infection. Maybe ask for a swob to be taken.

HAD SWABS DONE,ON ANTIBIOTICS FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW,EVEN BEEN IN HOSPITAL FOR TWO WEEKS,
THEY CANT SEEM TO FIND THE CAUSE,,

DO NHS DO TWO WEEKS ALL INCLUSIVE SOMEWHERE NICE WARM AND SUNNY,I COULD VOLLENTEER FOR THAT ,,,,,LOL

If you find a place to go on the NHS dizzy let me know so I can send OH along as well. He has been so unwell for 6 mths its getting me down. To be honest I come on here to read about other people to stop me feeling sorry for myself and to be able to get on with it for another day.

This is his 4th week on antibotics this time again for MRSA which infected his leg ulcer. Honey patches were great for him, he didn't get on with the patches with silver in either as I recall you said you didn't get on with them.

SWABS TAKEN EVERY OTHER VISIT,HAD THE HONEY BUT MADE ULCER TO WET, SILVER HAS BEEN AGONY SINCE MONDAY AND I HAVE IT CHANGED AGAIN
TOMORROW,SO WAIT FOR THE SWEAR BOX TO FILL UP,TROUBLE ISTO TRY WALKING IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE WHEN IN GREAT PAIN,

I can imagine the pain you are in as I see it in OH. He has reincurring MRSA this is the third infection since feb. the antibotics he is on now begins with a c (forget what they called) big yellow things you wonder which end they are meant to go in LOL, plus he takes tramadol but still in pain. He is his own worse enemy thou as when he walks he hobbles about without his stick.

Does the silver one stick to you and its hard to peel off? It did with OH the D/N use to have to soak it with water first.

JUST GOT 2 TABLETS LEFT OF CLINDAMYCIN,BUT TAKE LOADS MORE PILLS FOR MY PD,PARACETAMOL AS THE ONLY PAINKILLERS I CAN TAKE,

DRESSINGS CHANGED AT 9;15 THIS MORNING,
STILL IN GREAT PAIN ,THIS IS THE LAST TIME I HAVE THIS ON,
I HONESTLY CANT STAND THE PAIN ANYMORE ,SO FRIDAY
I HOPE THE GP REFERS ME TO HOSPITAL,
SWEAR BOX WOULD OF BEEN FILLED TEN TIMES BY NOW,

Lets hope the doctor refers you to the hospital and they can suggest something else. Also that it doesn't take weeks to get sorted.

OH is on clarithromycin antibotics. He got up at 5 so I have had a peaceful easy day.

I wish the pain would go away for you.
