TV is always dire in the summer months - the schedule programmers think we should all be sunning ourselves in Antigua or where ever the 'In' place is now.

Nothing new likely to come up until the autumn. :-(

In the meantime we're stuck with Sports and repeats of
Cookery
Murder/Mysteries
Fly on the wall 'documentaries'

So what do we do? Turn off, read a good book, put on a DVD or watch paint dry.

Oh look, the viewing numbers are down - even more reason not to commission new series.

There may be a few new gems knocking around..............it you manage to spot them on the schedules.

"Load of rubbish on tv, I'd rather play on the computer, or watch paint dry."

Yes and since the advent of quick drying water based gloss paints it's got soooo much more exciting :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

And on top of all that our Cricket team are not doing well either!!

I can watch Cricket all day on telly. Can even put up with Rugby.

But Football and Tennis, all the hullabaloo - and queueing up for days to get a ticket for Wimbledon. They are all mad, mad I tell you........

7 Brits started out yesterday at Wimbledon, now only 2 left in.......

God we are pretty crap at any sport at the moment. Thankfully our athletes seem to be doing a bit better. (oh and I find that boring too!)

When at school I was in the Hockey, Netball and Rounders teams. But watching them on tv nah...

Like Tenerife Sun, only have very limited English TV. so have almost given up on it. Tennis, football, cricket or repeats of Location, Location, Location, A Place in the Sun or Poirot.
Wonderful.

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 23 Jun 2014 21:27

I only have a very limited amount of English telly to choose from, take away all the sports that's on now and there's not much left to watch. I often don't even switch it on now. I have done a bit more on my family tree :-D

As someone who only watches the Grand Prix (and usually only the highlights), and never watches soaps, tonight, I have the choice of repeats, more repeats, or what some apparently consider 'entertainment' - watching the police or paramedics, or programmes about (especially selected) unemployed, benefits cheats (that'll be jobless, rather than Bosses/ministers/already overpaid but need to steal a bit more). etc
To me that's cheap TV, and not at all entertaining.
