On a recent trip to NI,I visited a number of family graves in varous cemeteries.
No matter where I went, almost every plot old or new contained numerous , large bell shaped glass cloches which were used to cover wreaths and floral tributes.

Some had clearly been there for many years but the colours iof the original flowers were still quite visible.
I have also seen these large cloches in shops and garden centres and that they are pretty expensive
Some graves had around 10-12 cloches placed on them!

I have never seen them on any grave in Scotland and wonder if it's a tradition in Ireland only or is this common in any other part of the UK?
