How about "Boiled Beef and Carrots" or a decent All In Stew. As for Corned Beef being called Pleb Food :-D In the forces it was refered to as "Desert Chicken". :-D :-D |

Corned beef hash, liver & onions,sausage & mash, any cold roast meat with chips &pickles & chutney, fish chips & mushy peas........in fact most things I would never have eaten in England, but which are manna from heaven here because they are rarer than hens teeth. |

Why is corned beef considered to be Pleb Food ? :-S :-S. Just a matter personal taste. I like it, and I can assure whoever said this I am not a pleb. My son would not thank you for it even if it was all there was to eat. |

I remember "Bread and an Oxo" in an enamel mug also "Milk Pobs" same thing as latter but made with Milk,. and not forgetting me Marmite Soldiers. :-D |
