Martin Shaw is a bit of all right!

Did quite fancy him in The Professionals. Those tight jeans! Wonder anyone could breathe!

It was filmed around where I live, it aint half changed.

I'm more intrigued about his hair!

Is it naturally short, and he wears a long wig?

or, is it naturally long, and he wears a short wig?

If it is all natural, it dont half grow quick!

I do like the subtle "Cop out" linked to Life on Mars :-D

Lee Ingleby played John Simm's father in Life on Mars, series one. Then played a different character in series two!

I watched the programme over three nights, I thought the ending was a bit of a cop out though.

Not a big fan of Juliet Stevenson I must be honest.

Now Martin Shaw.................now you are talking DC!

Lee Ingleby - the Night Bus Conductor in the Harry Potter films!

Great actor, he is fantastic in George Gently. He has really improved over the series, with his character developing into a far more likeable person as he is more and more influenced by his boss George (the truly scrumptious Martin Shaw)

Oops lapsed into a bit of a trance then, thinking of Mr. Shaw and his melifluous voice....... Nearly went again.. :-D

There you are Bob - your question answered.

We often have great fun spotting actors in other programmes. We then miss several minutes of the action deciding if 'Wotshername' was 'thingamejig' in X.

LOL

yeah they DO have their uses!!

maybe two breaks an hour would be fine by me.....

That's the advantage of recordings - you can whizz through the ads. :-D

We've recently started to use a Sky provided box which connects wirelessly to the Internet. Some of the Catch Up programmes are minus the ads. Bliss!! Mind you, first time round it did mean you can be sitting there with crossed legs waiting for a break ;-)

nothing wrong with the play,

How dreary it is with 10 minutes action 10 minutes adverts......

yes, you are right, I HAVE seen it before, at least from halfway through the last episode

probably surfing the stations and caught it halfway through!!

We've recorded the whole series to watch later. Anything to avoid sporting offerings!

As it is/was on ITV3, I got the impression it was a repeat. Once we've watched it, we'll be able to answer your question ;-)

Hasn't he (Gently's sidekick) appeared in a recent trailer for something else?

Anyone watching it?

is George Bennett, the younger one, the same actor that plays

the young detective with George Gently?
