On the face of it GlossyAnn No!.....but we don't know the full story or anything that may have gone on behind the scenes.

As for the weird length of ban......maybe the person who banned him has 6 years left in their contract and is leaving him for someone else to sort out when they leave GR .....who knows!

John was OTT the other day and nothing would stop him.....I do wonder if others weren't so against the person/s John was annoying, if they would be so pro John if it was them he was irritating beyond the pale......Yes He was a great wordsmith but allowed bitterness to creep in and spoil the words that were sometimes golden.....Only John himself can know why he decided to go over the top.....perhaps he doesn't want to be a member......or perhaps there is a deeper cause.......But a Saint he ain't!

True Susan John was no saint .....But heck there are quite a few on here that are just as bad and would go on his threads with the purpose of Looking for trouble I would be reading his threads (yes sometimes they were challenging) but more than often I couldn't see why there was an argument (OK maybe I'm slow).... Ban ? OK! But not 6 yrs

Like I say Nolls....we don't know if anything else was said behind the scenes.....I don't think I have seen anything as bad for a while......Maybe he was having an off day.....but it wasn't nice to witness....Perhaps an apology to all around may help.....but maybe he doesn't want to be on here.

Perhaps bets should be taken to see if he comes back sooner :-D

No of course he was no saint, he could be like an irritating mosquito buzzing in and out. But the boards were more interesting when he was around. I am not saying he didn't deserve a ban, I can't as I didn't see what obviously started all the aggravation, what I am saying is that 6 years is unrealistic and silly, where did that figure come from?

Oh and no doubt there will be a smug comment at some time from the person/people who delighted in winding him up.

He was way over the top and ignored advice given to him,however 6 yrs is rather too much.Personally I think it was a Clash of Ego,s and John Lost.

Whoever the member is that you seem to think needs banning....It is unfair to make innuendos or sly remarks which could be mean anyone.....then fein innocence....I personally haven't seen anyone who needs to be banned for a very long time.....Maybe you all see something I don't ......sly remarks could be mistakenly thought to be aimed at anyone......say who you mean or keep them to yourself!

John is John, he will never change and why should he, but he should have bitten his tongue very hard at times.......

I admire John in certain ways and no this is not a John Fan !! He and I admitted our differences and disputes and our wind ups and we both listened and could see how stupid and childish it was......Apologies were made and although we hardly posted on each others threads, which we sort of agreed on we moved on......Apologies were accepted and even though John will agree he is sometimes a total pain in the ar** he sometimes loses his way...as do others so just let John move on and agree to disagree in the case of John .......

Those who want to fight his case then so be it and those who do not, fair enough....
