Thank you all for your help. Some very good suggestions there. Will give some (or all ) of them a try when we get them. Thanks again. :-) :-D

you can get wipes for leather car seats - try some of those - I was given wipes for my leather suite when I bought it, but use the car seat ones now

add a few drops of white vinegar to warm water and wipe over with a damp cloth,,,,when dry polish with the right polish,,,,,,it should help get rid of it,or it maybe too deep into the leather to remove,,,,,dont try and mask it with sented stuffs,,,,,,,,it will come back again,,,,,,white vinegar is good on lots of things and a natural product,,,,,,

Get them professionally cleaned, nothing worse than the smell of dogs when you walk in a house.

Hi lovely people, has anyone any experience of cleaning and getting 'doggy smells' out of a leather settee. My daughter is giving us her settees as she is getting new ones and ours are past best but she has 2 dogs and one is unfortunately a rather smelly spaniel, bless her. I really don't want to upset said daughter by saying I don't want them because they smell and they are really nice items but don't think I can live with the smell. lol. Any suggestions please. I don't want to be spending money on having them proffesionally cleaned either if I can help it. :-S
