There was something about this on Watchdog I think it was, last week - people were signing up for a sample of those Raspberry ketone diet pills and then finding they hadn't read the very small print that says about cancelling before the payments come out, and they were taking £100 a month or something.

I am much more wary now about signing up for such offers

Glad you got your money refunded and some action is being taken.

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

Saw on the news this morning an 89 year lady got taken for £100,000 she thought she was talking to bank officials and the police.

following my getting caught by a telephone scam from EDF Sky protection, when they took £100 + from my Barclaycard [now refunded by Barclaycard] I received a letter this morning from Action Fraud

"Your report has been assessed by the NFIB and the information you provided has enabled the police to take action to disrupt their activities - this activity can be in the form of requests to suspend or take down:

telephone numbers
fraudulent websites and email accounts etc"


Well that's good isn't it
