:-D :-D :-D

I'm on my second glass of Harvey's Bristol Cream.

If it doesn't make me sleepy enough to sleep through the snoring, at least it'll help me see the funny side of things :-D :-D

rofl

We should start a thread for menopausal, arthritic women who can't sleep because of their partners' snoring!

:-D

My o.h. fidgets too and gets very hot so his pillow is all yucky. I stay mostly in the same position, on my side, so don't snore all the time lol I wouldn't be very happy to be bumped out of bed liek that either!

I got some clips from Kleeneze that hold the sheets in place, saves them ending up looking like rags after one night's sleep. Every now and again tho I stretch out ( the bed is only a 4'6" wide one so not as long as queen size etc - they wouldn't fit in the room of his little house) and my feet are right at the end of the bed and the bottom clip pings off and hits the wall lol O.h. trod on it the other night when he got out to go to the bathroom lol Air was a bit blue!

lol Liz

He's in the spare room, with the queen size bed, I'm in our room with the Aussie King size bed (bigger than a queen).

I've got two blankets and put on the electric blanket...... he has only a top sheet (and as I said earlier, he sleeps commando). But he has a hairy suit. In summer I think it's a nice temperature & he puts the air conditioner on!

Once I'm asleep I don't move. My side of the bed is wrinkle free. His side looks like it's been through a cyclone..... buttom sheet pulled out, pillows bashed, a real mess. I think he dreams he's dancing, or wrestling, he's a very restless sleeper. He once bumped me out of the bed, with his backside! He definitely wasn't called darling that time.

:-)

Oh poor you Scozz, that's not good when you are feeling unwell. Hope you are feeling better now.

When I first met my o.h. his snoring was notorious, among his family. I found it really hard to cope with when I 'stayed over' and he went to the sleep clinic at the hospital too. They just said he had to lose weight which didn't happen. I moved in after a while and suppose I sort of got used to it, altho I am sure the broken nights and being woken by his alarm for his early start to work, helped to bring on my own sleep problems.

Lately tho I have put on weight and find I wake myself up, when alone in the bed, with a big snort. I usually get back to sleep immediately tho, altho if o.h. is still in the bed he will have a bit of a moan.

Separate rooms for me everytime lol I love it when we go on hols as we book places with two bedrooms and I get the best one!!! Well I am the person who has to do all the research to find a place that he will like.

pyjamas? He sleeps "commando", so I'd have to glue a cork to his back :-D

I sent him off years ago (at least ten) to the sleep apnea clinic. He had an operation on his throat, very nasty. It didn't stop the snoring, but turned the volume down a little bit..... three years later he was snoring as loud as ever.

<3

I got back to sleep sometime around 3am, slept until 9.30 this morning.

I'm a bit foggy......... told him he'll be sleeping in the garage.

Get them checked for sleep apnoea. It is important.

I started snoring and thought it was a cold then mucus until last May when I was rushed into hospital due to a severe apnoea attack when I stopped breathing. I awoke to my heart racing and on the 2 e c g s the doc did straight away the cardiologist thought I'd had a severe angina attack I was so starved of oxygen. I had to have a camera in the heart to prove that I didn't have any blockages, in fact I have clear heart arteries. I had to go to a sleep clinic to have sleep apnoea test. The fat around my neck was stopping me breathing in my sleep and I sleep on my side not my back.

I had a barrage of tests and it was found I am intolerant of carbohydrates (and have been for many years - so said the cardiologist). I store it all and don't burn it off. I have gone down 4 dress sizes in 1 year by reducing my carbs and have stopped snoring, I no longer have sleep apnoea so I am no longer in danger of dying in my sleep.

GET YOUR OHS CHECKED OUT LADIES - take it from 1 who knows snoring can be a symptom as well as a nuisance. <3

Put a cork in the back of his pyjamas, if he has to stay on his side he should not snore so much - ?? Old wives tale - liz

:-(

I went to bed early (about 9.30pm) cos I can't shake off a nasty cold, and my hip is hurting.

Fell asleep almost immediately.

Until........ SNORRRRRRRRE woke me up (it's almost midnight)

:-(

Stop moaning did you say? Everybody snores, and your OH snores and keeps you awake..........

I believe it.

But........ we've been in separate rooms since I got the rotten cold.

I'm at the back of the house, he's at the front, and there is a bedroom & a bathroom between us!

:-(

There are some earplugs around here........ somewhere
