I'm ready to go to my next appointment.

Dressed as usual in my faithful old tracksuit pants...... the only pair of pants I own that sit on my waist.

Right on the sore spot!

Owwwwwww!!!!

:-(

I showed my belly (shock! horror! :-0 ) to a couple of friends tonight. :-(

They were horrified.

One said I had two navels, another said it looked like I had a belly-button piercing that went horribly wrong.

Really cheered me up. :-(

Himself calls me scabby belly.

:-(

I can hardly wait until Tuesday, and show the naturopath!

:-)

If he tries to sell me some herbal burn cream...................... :-|

Thank goodness it's not bikini weather, I have a red splodge on my belly.

Liz, I wasn't paying attention to the bonfire on my stomach, because of what he was doing to my legs! That was weird. I had two pillows under my knees (because I had cramp in my back), so I couldn't see what he was doing...... frustrating!

I've been putting Tea Tree antiseptic cream on the blister..... it looks like a little bag of water :-(

Hopefully it will be gone by the weekend........ or he can stick an acupuncture needle in it next Tuesday :-D

I think I would call him and ask advice re the blister, even tho he didn't mean it to happen and it was probably your fault for not telling him it was too hot, he should know sooner than next Tuesday and might advise how to help it heal faster, probably aloe vera?

Sounds good tho, wish I could afford some sessions with a similar practioner.

I don't think he meant to give me a blister, he's a very caring man.

During the treatment, he kept asking if it was getting too hot.....It was very hot, but I wanted the treatment to work, so I put up with it, but it wasn't painful. ......silly me.

I'm sure he will be shocked and full of apologies when I see him next Tuesday.

All things considered, I am sure he shouldn't have allowed it to give you a blister.

Sylvia ~ yes, he used it the "Chinese" way. I hope it doesn't restore my natural monthly cycle!! I was soooooooo happy when that all finished.

One thing I did notice........ I peed an awful lot yesterday afternoon :-(

OH is hoping it does something to warm up my icy feet...... he's fed up with me using his nice warm backside as a foot warmer when I get into bed :-D

The blister is still there......... I'm not touching it!

:-)

Not sure if he mentioned my qi, but he was talking about my ying/yang balance..... I think I went to sleep.

I was always told that bladderwort helped cure bladder infections, liverwort helped with liver infections etc etc, but did not realise how many worts there are:

Fascinating names.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I thought I remembered what mugwort was mainly used for from the days when I was reading up on herbal remedies ......................

from google ........................

Mugwort has an affinity for the female reproductive system and is used as a uterine stimulant that can bring on delayed menstruation and help restore a woman's natural monthly cycle.

It is usually used as a tincture or drink in western medicine ........................ but Chinese medicine is different ...................

Traditional Chinese Medicine --------------- Burning mugwort in heat therapy is one of the oldest forms of Chinese traditional medicine and is used to stimulate the flow of qi and maintain general health. It especially dispels cold and dampness.

I guess your guy was using it in the Chinese way

I had another treatment at the naturopath yesterday.

He put a little pile of mugwort on a small metal dish & placed it on my stomach, right over my navel, and lit it (the mugwort, not my navel!). He then lit some sticks of mugwort & ran them over my legs, which had acupuncture needles in them... and more needles in my feet & hands.

This is supposed to help with my circulation, as I feel cold most of the time.

Okeydokey, I'll try most things once.

I am feeling warmer.

But.......... I have a great big blister on my belly!

:-(

I didn't feel it yesterday, because I was so warm after the treatment, but I sure noticed it this morning.
