That's awful Uzzi.

I think I had some similar scam emails a while back, but I used to delete them

My Facebook page tells porkies, lies about where I live, what I do and where I went to school.

Be wary very wary... there are lurkers over there on the dark side.

You don't have to belong to GR to come on here and look at the community boards.. armed with this and having hacked your e-mail address, it would probably be easy to find FB info etc as well.. not hard to join the dots and construct a document and make it look believable.

I worked for a recycling company and we in turn carried out collections for various councils.... twice I accidentally ended up with one of the council's desk tops with all the various icons on it on my screen. I could have looked up their correspondence with other companies and councils. I was shocked.... not once but twice.

The Email is from someone who has gotten into your contacts list Its never a real person and if you reply you can be taken to another site so BEWARE Just delete and let the sicko rot

Has FB got your friends date of birth That's where its come from. Never give details like that Sadly once you put birth date on you can't edit it out If a site insists on a birth date give a false one its safer Identity theft is on the increase

There will always be a return address.
It would be great if you could post the site name so we can all avoid it and report it.

what is awful is if I had clicked the site that they gave me .as most people would have done, What would it have cost the bereaved.
As I said I am wary but the heading was as if my mate had died ..it would have been so easy to click on the link. Sorry I am so very angry that people can pry on others like this. Nasty nasty people please check when you get e-mails where they have come from if there is no return address don´t trust it-

Nasty Nasty Imbeciles as you can tell I want to say a lot more, :-P

I have a mate who is terminal cancer
yesterday I received an e-mail with his name and a date of death. Checked FB nothing there
Didn´t trust it so went into the email carefully and discovered it´s scam, nasty little barstewards. How dare people do that .
I will be angry about it when my head returns to my shoulders and my brain stops smoking.
