We had an early Tatung Einstein computer and also some of the first home video equipment. It cost a fortune but wasn't worth anything now so I googled each by name, plus the word collector and came up with results for private collectors, who were delighted to get it.

Thank you Bob it is just that my husband was an only child and my F-I-L kept a lot of things ,have found some old recipe books and 78 records as well, can not keep everything so trying to decide what to keep and what could be enjoyed by other people. Good idea Sue I will try that. Also have found an old typewrtiter and slide projector with a lot of slides

I have a camera that belonged to my dad, he paid, I believe, a lot of money for it, new....in the '60's...but now it seems it is only worth about 30 quid..........to me I'd rather keep it, than let it go for that,

what I meant was, you might find if there is any interest in your camera, for a collector or as you might prefer, a museum, I agree about the landfill comment..

best of luck!

Have you a drama group in your area, you could always ring them and see if they want it.

I did this with late hubby's cine camera and rest of the equipment and the drama group were over the moon as they could film the drama's/pantomimes.
