I loved him. A wonderful actor who didn't take himself too seriously. The Rockford Files was a classic.

He was excellent in the Great Escape as well.

To be honest, I would never have said he was a great actor, but a good character. He once said in an interview that he only ever played himself and I liked that. Thought he was marvellous.
