Hi new to here as well as researching my family I am trying to find out a bit of history on the cottage I live in . Is there a way I can search the address without a persons name

Hello Eileen,

Welcome to the boards. I use FMP which has a facility to search by address.

I didnt think it was easy searching by address on FMP now?.....must admit I havnt tried it lately since they changed the site about

Before you start searching census for an address - have you done any research at your local library to see if the street has been renamed or renumbered over the years.

Hi it is a cottage in a small village but to be honest just assumed it has always had the same name I should really check this out Thanks for the advice
