Here is an Extract from our local paper regarding Cheryl's father.

The house Cheryl Fernandez-Versini grew up in on Tyneside has been demolished after it was condemned as dangerous, reports the Mirror.

Cheryl’s dad Garry Tweedy was forced to move from the terraced home where the former Girls Aloud star was raised after it was condemned as dangerous.

Garry, 51, lived in the former council house in Walker, Newcastle, with Cheryl’s step-mum Joanne but the whole row of around 40 properties on the street is being knocked down for safety reasons. The house had to be knocked down after subsidence caused cracks in external walls.

Care worker Garry’s home has already been demolished and a wire fence surrounds the rubble, with signs warning against entry.

Garry’s home was let by Your Homes Newcastle, the housing association set up to run ex-council stock.

A Newcastle council spokesman said of the residents: “Most moved out, but there are negotiations with some owner occupiers.

“For some there is bound to be sentimental value. YHN has been relocating families to their satisfaction.”

Garry, who split from Cheryl’s mum Joan Callaghan when the star was 11, has now been moved to a two-bedroom semi nearby, where rents are typically between £60 and £80 a week and properties go for about £45,000.

Here is further information from newspaper.

Newly-wed X Factor judge Cheryl, 31, is believed to be set to marry her new groom Jean-Bernard for the second time this week after only her mum and PA Lily England attended the secret ceremony in Mustique earlier this month.

GP - It would appear that her father wasn't invited to the wedding but her real mum was. Very Interesting. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
