The same property appears on other Real Estate sites.
On this one, the price is $102,500.

You looking to branch out in the holiday letting business Uzzi lol?

It was sold last July for $72,500 and the estimate (Zestimate) is $74, 828, not much of a profit!

Liz, I am looking at property to invest in. It's just one of the things I am looking at. Florida would be a pure investment for rental return and not a holiday home.

Glasgowlass I hadn't seen that ..and LadyScozz no it wasn't in the middle of a swamp.

I wouldn't go for that because I don't have the time to check it out, but it did give me ideas. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Look into it closely Uzzi, I believe that a lot of people are selling in florida because of them not getting a good return.

The US economy is still in the toilet, many properties being handed back to mortgage holders.

Jobs sector still poor, yes there are fantastic bargains around but too many properties to let and not enough people who can afford to rent them.

Even trying to rent as holidays lets is very challenging.

I do understand all of what has been said and appreciate it but to be honest the US economy is no worst than Spains, aslo I am not looking for a holiday rental, fast buck return, but a long term let steady income and an investment once the market picks up in a few years time. If I go the holiday rental I would be tempted to buy close by where I could keep an eye on it, but the Spanish government will want to much of my profit off me being a 2nd home so hence the idea of other countries. .

Still look into it Uzzi, you'd have to employ an agent and that would siphon off a lot of your money. Worth trying to find out how many properties are already up for long lets and still empty.

I have just done a bit of Googling. Portugal looks like a non-starter, but France might be worth investigating. It's not on the doorstep, but also not impossible to visit if necessary.
