My 7 year of grandson was explaining how sleeping arrangements work.

Apparently when you are very small it is ok to get in with your mum and dad if you wake up and get a bit frightened during the night but when you are get bigger (like him) you are expected to sleep on your own. However, a quick cuddle in the morning with mum, or nana when he is staying at our house, is ok.

Once you have a girlfriend, though, it is best if you sleep with her. You don't have to if you don't want to but it makes good sense as it saves you the money you would have to spend on buying a second bed!

My three year old grandson was learning left from right...

He held out his right hand and said to his father this is my right hand eh dad?

That's right said my SIL

Then grandson held out his left hand and said that is my left hand eh dad?

SIL soon learnt very quickly that the answer to that one cannot be that's right"

Who is teaching who?

We all know that we are to say that's correct.. even Nana.

Lol Little ears pick up all sorts of things, don't they and then they come out with them when you least expect it or when it's most embarrassing.

He sounds a real character Sandra.

They can be so grown up that you wonder where it came from

Our step grandson who is 14.but with a mental age of about 7/8 has several grandparents on both sides

He distinguished us as nanny with cat because we had Mirabellle who sadly passed on the 8 th july

When he comes to stay with us I let him use the PC and the printer he goes overboard with printing because of his syndrome so is restricted at home and at one other gran .

When he is with us I don't mind and it keeps him occupied

SO ! When I told him Mirabelle was poorly and sadly would die when he asked ,he took it all in and told our daughter later than when Mirabelle died. I wouldn't be nanny with cat but nanny with printer !!!

Logically he sorted it out in his mind . It did make me smile I have to admit
