I have never had banoffi pie before and have never really thought what it consisted of.

We went to the cafe that Fred used to use today and they had a home-made one on the specials board so I thought I would try it.

I won't be doing that again!

The texture of whipped cream makes me gag and there was loads of it to leave on my plate, the toffee was far too sweet for me but the banana was alright.

Eugh!

I made one at the week end as i had some bananas going soft in the heat :-) used Jamie Olivers recipe with no condensed milk which is what makes most recipes way too sweet. No sugar in the cream either so just right x

Too & sweet are 2 words that just don't go together. :-)

It was notjust the sweetness.

I don't like the texture of whipped cream so, after I had taken off the cream and toffee, I was left with biscuit and banana.

LuckyI ad the waste disposal system with me!

I tried Banoffi pie once (in Scotland with rellies) because everyone else was raving about it.

Too sweet & sickly for me :-(

I really don't like tiramisu either, but I seem to be in the minority.

:-(

But.... not everyone likes my favourie Lemon & Lime pie

I think I was expecting something like a lemon meringue pie.

We have it at work. Our cook makes it from scratch.

The sugar is so crystallised you can feel it crunching through your teeth!

I like bananas just as bananas, don't like anything banana flavoured (or banana bread, etc) I like toffee sweeties and that's it. Have been given banoffi pie several times and really tried to be polite and eat it but, sorry, it's way too sweet for me.
