Sue I wish because this isn´t the 1st time I have known drivers take a short cut on this junction. Mind it is the 1st time I have been shouted at for being in the right. What makes it worse it is on a crossing ...

Could they stop people nearly running you over somehow?

Driving along and traffic lights are red, the driver in front of me was texting, lights green front car doesn't move instantly so car in of me driver still texting bumps into the car in front of him, he stops texting gets out and starts shouting at front driver for not moving fast enough, motor mouth (me) gets out and tells front driver I will be witness cos shouting driver was texting, so to close, texting, driving without due care and attention, or shut up and pay up. Choice of no choice really.

Sue they can´t bollard it as the cross road is needed and no amount of notices are going to stop the "I know best holiday maker" . They had no problem knowing that they were doing wrong, just moaned that I had got in their way. .....he he and I promptly walked in the center of our community road ...

That is definitely something the police or the local council would be interested in, Uzz - not to report them individually - but to know that there is a road safety issue - I once reported that people were driving 10 yards with their lefthand wheels on the pavement and the council came and put bollards along that stretch - it was after they had removed some of the yellow lines (only a residential road) to create more parking spaces.

well I am not that sure that I am that amazed.

I have just walked my dogs and crossed the duel carriageway at the bottom of my community on the crossing. I did check both ways ( learnt that one now) and whilst watching the way the traffic comes from headed diagonally to the pavement to the entrance of the community road. This crossing is just a few metres away from a crossway. as I was halfway across a car came from the wrong direction and tooted, then proceeded to follow me into the community. To which with the window down I got asked
"why don´t you look where you are going" :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 I replied excuse me you were on the wrong side of the road maybe you didn´t realise being English.
Yea we did they said but it´s the quickest way up here, well would be if you wasn´t in the way. :-S.

Amazed and gobsmacked :-\ :-0 :-S. This is not a piddling lane but a duel carriageway adequately marked Admittedly it´s not a major road anymore but that isn´t the point. Thankfully they are renters and not owners ;-)
